Fraud warning: fake sites and clone companies

Our company takes all information and suspicions about fraudulent activity very seriously. From time to time we identify companies that use our name, or names very similar to ours, without permission. This can cause confusion and spread wrong information about our company and its services.

Why we publish this warning

Our aim is to protect you from identity theft, fake investment offers and loss of money.

Trust matters in financial services, and that trust is often imitated by people acting in bad faith. Imitators may copy our logo, name or design, open a fake website, or send messages and make calls as if they came from us. With this page we want to state our official details clearly, give you tips to recognise imitation and show what to do if you suspect it.

Our official web address is lirax-app.org and our official email address is [email protected]. Remember that any communication from a different address may not be from us.

Reminder: LiraX staff never ask you for your password, verification code, API secret key or card security code.

Cloned companies

If you think you have met a company that uses our name, brand or logo, do the following.

  1. 1

Do not share your personal details

Do not give identity, card, bank or account details to such a company. Do not send money and do not install remote-access software.

  2. 2

    Tell us immediately

Write to [email protected]. Include the site address, a screenshot of the message you received and any phone number.

  3. 3

    Contact the authorities if needed

If you suffered loss, we suggest contacting your bank and the relevant police units. Have your card and accounts protected.

We work continually to identify clone companies, but we stress that some may remain unidentified for a period of time. Customers should always check the legitimacy of companies online before sharing personal details or entering any business relationship.

How to spot an imitation site

Check the domain

Make sure the address is lirax-app.org. One letter off, an extra hyphen or a different ending (.com, .net) is a sign of imitation.

Offers that rush you

Pressure phrases such as "deposit now", "guaranteed profit" or "today only" are very often a sign of fraud.

Requests for secrets

Anyone asking for a password, verification code or API secret is not from us. If such a request arrives, do not reply.

Responsibility

We are aware that our name and personal data are misused for fraud, but our influence and control over these cases are limited. We feel deep regret for anyone who has suffered such losses. Our company is not responsible for fraudulent transactions carried out in our name without our authority or knowledge.

Our security measures and how to protect your account are described on the Security page. For the regulatory framework see Licensing & regulation.
